Before the start of the final round of the qualifiers Scots teams Maggie Wilson and Eve Muirhead had secured heir places in the Ladies Semis. Now it was down to skips from the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Germany, China and Korea to battle out the remaining six places.
In the same session Glen Muirhead and Brad Gushue were called back for a tiebreaker. It was a pairing that had already thrilled the Masters’ crowds earlier in the day – but Team Gushue were once again unable take advantage of the Muirhead rink – losing 1-7.
